MTC is partnering with Leadership Advancement Process (LAP) to offer courses and workshops designed to train mission and church leaders to be more effective in their local settings. These courses also serve as the foundation for the Distance Education Leading To Ordination (DELTO) program offered by LCMS seminaries. Additionally, many LCMS districts are using some or all of these on-line courses to certify their lay ministry assistants.

LAP has been functioning on the west coast in much the way that MTC has been working to offer this training in the East. In this partnership, each institution complements the other. LAP offers weeknight classes, while MTC offers them on Saturdays. LAP offers all 10 pre-DELTO courses three times a year, while MTC offers all 10 in one year. In this partnership, individuals may take courses offered on either coast according to their own convenience. The price structure and the credentials are the same.

People desiring credit toward a bachelors degree may also receive this from Concordia, NY at an additional cost.
